Well made but power hungry.

It seems very well made with the aluminium case. This may be superb with a MacBook, I don't know not having one. I've used it for desktop mode with A Huawei phone and to add ports to an HP / Windows laptop. It needs mains power (via the USB-C port) to be any use. With the phone it needs the mains to work and still drains the phone battery. The HDMI and USB work fine though. With the laptop I'm struggling to find a driver for the HDMI (it isn't obvious on the Moshi website and Windows hasn't found one). In this case the laptop has to be connected to the mains, it won't work the other way around. The USB works. I've rarely seen the power LED light.

First of all, about the product: The Moshi USB-C Multiport Adapter is wonderful. It is clearly superior to so many other products like it in terms of materials, build quality and design.

For example, the ability to store the USB-C cable securely in a space on the main device is a great touch that ensures the safety of the cable during transport, are exceptional design features of the device.

In terms of service, Mobile Fun virtually shipped the item the same day the order was received. I knew going into the purchase that the item was shipping from Great Britain, and the wait was worth it.

Mobile Fun offered excellent service and have followed up with me a couple of times to make sure I am happy with my purchase. They are fine, reliable company.

Finally, Mobile Fun absolutely had the best price available from any reputable online seller.

I recommend them without reservation.
